Honest answers about the trial, the pricing, what EvolveU actually does, and what it doesn't.
The annual plan begins with a seven-day free trial. You get full access to all seventeen methodologies, all eighty-five guided practices, and the AI-generated reflections. You will not be charged during the trial.
If you cancel through Apple Settings at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you are not charged. Otherwise, Apple charges $79.99 on day eight and the subscription continues for one year.
Cancellation is handled by Apple:
Your access continues until the end of the current paid period — or until the trial ends, if you cancel during the trial.
You can also tap Manage Subscription in EvolveU's Settings, which takes you to the same place.
Yes — by Apple. Two days before the trial converts to a paid subscription, Apple sends a notification to your device and an email to your Apple ID address. You can act on it from either.
Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policy. To request one, visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the EvolveU charge, and tap Request a Refund.
We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly — Apple controls all payment flows for App Store apps.
EvolveU is a personal atelier for sustained thinking. You choose a methodology — for example, Mind Mapping (Buzan, 1970s) or Cognitive Restructuring (Beck, CBT) — and work through a three-to-five-step guided practice.
At the end of each practice, an AI generates a reflection drawn from what you wrote, offered in the voice of a calm mentor. Your inputs and the reflection are saved to your atelier, where you can return to them.
Each methodology traces to a named source:
EvolveU tracks your activity across six dimensions — Critical Thinking, Creativity, Decision-Making, Expression, Focus, and Self-Awareness — based on which methodologies you practice.
The radar is a quiet visual record, not a score. It does not reward streaks or compete you against other users. It is for you to see, when you want to see it.
EvolveU does not send engagement notifications. There are no streaks. There are no "miss me" reminders. The app does not algorithmically nudge you back.
If you want a daily practice reminder, you can enable one in Settings and choose the time. That is the only notification the app sends.
Practices can be read offline once loaded. AI reflections require an internet connection because they are generated by Anthropic's Claude in real time, drawn from what you wrote in that session.
No. You can use EvolveU anonymously — the app generates a private identifier so your data persists on the device you installed it on.
If you want to sync across devices or keep your data safe if you replace your phone, sign in with Apple. We do not store passwords; Apple's authentication is the only path.
If you used EvolveU anonymously first, your practices are automatically migrated to your signed-in account. Nothing is lost. This is handled by a server-side function the moment you sign in.
Open Settings in the app, scroll to the Account section, and tap Delete Account. After a confirmation tap, every record we have of you — practice sessions, entitlement, profile, and authentication record — is removed from the database.
We do not retain "anonymized" copies. We do not export your data to analytics. When you delete, you delete.
Your practice content and account information live in a Supabase database in the United States, encrypted at rest, accessed over TLS.
Full details are on the Privacy Policy page.
Each practice session's content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API at the moment you finish a practice, to generate your reflection. Per Anthropic's API terms, that data is not used to train future models. It is retained briefly only for abuse monitoring and then discarded.
We — EvolveU — store your reflections and practice content in our own database so you can revisit them. You can delete all of it by deleting your account.
No. EvolveU does not sell data, does not run advertisements, and does not use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA). We do not use Facebook SDKs, AppsFlyer, Mixpanel, or any third-party analytics service designed to retain or profile users.
